All 3rd-5th grade students in Lucas, Marion, Monroe and Poweshiek counties eligible! At the landfill we work hard to improve water quality by supporting recycling, proper landfill disposal, and litter clean-up activities throughout our service area. We invite you to draw a picture of the ways you interact with your environment to help create clean and healthy water. Need some ideas? Draw a picture of you recycling or bringing garbage to the landfill. You could draw of picture of yourself cleaning up litter in your community or at the lake, or maybe organizing a clean-up event at the park. Learn more about microplastics and draw a picture of the affects they have on the food chain or the ecosystem. Can you think of other ways you can positively impact ecology? Draw it!
