Federal regulations require that hazardous waste from businesses be handled differently than hazardous waste from households because of the quantity businesses tend to accumulate. Because of this, a fee is charged and the materials can only be accepted by pre-arrangement at the SCISWA Landfill, Poweshiek Transfer Station, or the Metro Waste Authority Regional Collection Center (RCC) in Bondurant.
Review the categories below to determine what your business qualifies as and what route you will need to follow to dispose of your hazardous waste.

Download and complete the VSQG Certification Form then contact SCISWA at 641-828-8545 or Metro Waste Authority RCC at 1-888-603-CREW for disposal.
